What is Calendula Extract?

Calendula extract is an ingredient used in skin care products that is obtained from the flowers of the calendula plant, also known as "calendula officinalis". This plant is native to Europe and is cultivated in various regions of the world for its benefits and medicinal properties.

Its main asset are compounds called flavonoids, which are responsible for its anti-inflammatory, soothing and healing properties. Soothes irritation, reduces inflammation and promotes healing of minor wounds such as scrapes or minor burns. It can also be beneficial for treating skin tags, as it stimulates collagen production, which helps improve elasticity and the overall appearance of the skin.

Calendula extract is found in products such as moisturizers, facial toners and serums.
