What is Ceramides?

Ceramides are natural lipids that are present in your skin and play a vital role in the function of the skin barrier and moisture retention. They protect against harmful environmental factors such as pollution and are essential for maintaining hydration.

They are naturally found in human skin, but over time and due to external factors such as sun exposure and age, ceramide levels can decrease.

Ceramides are also widely used in skincare products to help restore and maintain the skin barrier. They can be found in moisturizers, serums, body lotions, and specific products for dry and damaged skin.

Benefits:

⦁ Moisturizing: Ceramides reinforce the skin's natural barrier, preventing moisture loss and maintaining hydration.

⦁ Anti-Inflammatory:
They help soothe irritated skin and manage conditions like eczema and psoriasis.

⦁ Regenerative:
Ceramides support skin cell turnover, aiding in the repair and rejuvenation of the skin barrier.
