What is Willow Bark Water?

Willow bark water is obtained from the bark of several species of trees belonging to the genus Salix, with white willow (Salix alba) being one of the most commonly used. These trees grow in temperate regions around the world, especially in North America, Europe, and Asia. The bark is harvested in spring when levels of salicin, the main active compound, are highest. Willow bark water is produced through an aqueous extraction process that preserves its natural properties.

Benefits:

- Anti-inflammatory: Willow bark contains salicin, which converts to salicylic acid, a potent anti-inflammatory that reduces inflammation and soothes irritated skin.

- Gentle Exfoliation: Salicylic acid promotes skin exfoliation, removing dead cells and promoting cell renewal, which helps maintain clean and radiant skin.

- Acne Treatment: Its antibacterial and exfoliating properties help unclog pores and reduce acne breakouts.

- Antioxidant: Protects the skin against damage caused by free radicals and environmental stress.

- Reduces Fine Lines and Wrinkles: Promotes cell renewal and improves skin texture, helping to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

- Improves Skin Texture: Regular use of products with willow bark can result in smoother, more even, and healthier-looking skin.
