What is Mushroom extract?

Mushroom extract refers to concentrated compounds derived from various species of mushrooms, such as Reishi, Shiitake, and Tremella. These extracts are rich in bioactive compounds, including polysaccharides, antioxidants, and anti-inflammatory agents, making them valuable in skincare formulations.

Benefits:

Hydration: Some mushrooms, like Tremella, are known for their excellent water-retaining properties. They can help keep the skin hydrated, plump, and smooth by drawing moisture to the skin and holding it in place.

Anti-Aging: Mushroom extracts are rich in antioxidants that protect the skin from free radicals, which contribute to premature aging. These antioxidants help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, promoting a more youthful complexion.

Brightening: Certain mushrooms, such as Shiitake, contain kojic acid, which helps to brighten the skin and reduce the appearance of dark spots and hyperpigmentation.

Anti-Inflammatory: Mushroom extracts have anti-inflammatory properties that can soothe irritated skin, reduce redness, and calm conditions such as eczema and rosacea.

Skin Barrier Support: The polysaccharides found in mushroom extracts strengthen the skin’s barrier, protecting it from environmental stressors and enhancing its ability to retain moisture
