What is Hamamelis?

Witch hazel is obtained from the leaves, bark and branches of the witch hazel shrub (Hamamelis virginiana), which is native to North America. It has been used for centuries by Native Americans for its medicinal properties and is now a popular ingredient in skin care products.

Benefits:

Soothing: Witch hazel helps reduce irritations and soothe the skin, minimizing redness and swelling.

Astringent: Balances oil production and reduces the appearance of pores. As a result of its constant use, the skin feels cleaner, firmer and smoother. This property makes it ideal for oily and acne-prone skin

Accelerates wound healing: Witch hazel accelerates the healing process of minor wounds such as small cuts and insect bites due to its antibacterial and antiseptic properties.

Antioxidant: Witch hazel contains antioxidants that protect the skin from environmental damage, oxidative stress and free radicals.
