What is chia seed extract?

Chia seeds come from a herbaceous plant in the mint family. These tiny, round seeds, about 2mm wide, were considered valuable by the Aztecs, who offered them to the goddess Chicomecotly, hoping for good harvests.

Today, chia seed oil is popular in natural cosmetics for its numerous benefits. Extracted through cold pressing, this oil contains over 60% omega-3 fatty acids, which boost collagen production, acting as an anti-aging agent by reducing wrinkles, acne, and imperfections, while keeping the skin smooth and youthful. It is ideal for sensitive, dry, and irritated skin due to its high mineral and vitamin content, particularly vitamin E, which has rejuvenating and antioxidant properties.

Additionally, chia seed oil is rich in minerals such as calcium, zinc, iron, phosphorus, magnesium, and potassium.

Benefits:

Hydration: Chia seed extract is known for its excellent hydrating properties, helping to keep the skin moisturized and supple.

Anti-Aging: The high content of antioxidants and omega-3 fatty acids helps to combat signs of aging, such as fine lines and wrinkles.

Skin Soothing: Its anti-inflammatory properties make it ideal for calming irritated or sensitive skin.

Improves Skin Barrier: Chia seed extract strengthens the skin's natural barrier, protecting it from environmental stressors and moisture loss.

Brightening: Helps to improve skin tone and texture, giving the skin a radiant and youthful appearance.
