What is Carrot Seed Oil?

Carrot seed oil is extracted from the seeds of the carrot plant (Daucus carota). This essential oil is known for its richness in nutrients and antioxidants beneficial for skin and hair. Although it is extracted from carrot seeds, it should not be confused with carrot essential oil, which is obtained from the root of the plant.

One of its main active ingredients is beta-carotene, a precursor of vitamin A that promotes skin health. It also contains vitamins C and E, as well as essential fatty acids such as linoleic acid.

Thanks to its beta-carotene content, it helps give skin a healthy glow and can help reduce the signs of aging by promoting cell regeneration. Its blend of antioxidants also protect the skin from free radical damage.

It is commonly found in anti-aging serums, moisturizers and facial oils. Its application is versatile, as it can be used directly on the skin or mixed with daily creams or lotions.
