What are Amino Acids?

Amino Acids are essential molecules that combine to form proteins, crucial for the health of our skin and hair. They are necessary for the production of collagen and elastin, two vital proteins that maintain the firmness and elasticity of our skin.

They aid in repairing damaged tissues, strengthening the skin barrier, and improving skin texture. Amino acids have a significant ability to keep the skin hydrated and retain moisture, essential for smooth and flexible skin. Additionally, they possess antioxidant properties, allowing us to protect the skin from damage caused by free radicals and prevent premature aging.

Products containing amino acids vary widely, ranging from moisturizing creams to anti-aging serums and revitalizing masks. They are also common in hair care products, contributing to the strength and overall health of the scalp.

Benefits:

Moisturizing: Contribute to the skin's natural moisturizing factor (NMF), helping to retain water and maintain optimal hydration levels.

Antioxidant: Antioxidant properties help protect the skin from damage caused by free radicals, which can be generated by factors like UV radiation and environmental pollutants.

Anti-aging: They have a crucial role in collagen production. By supporting collagen synthesis, amino acids contribute to reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, promoting a more youthful and resilient complexion.
